Game Dev Diaries Season 2 Episode 4

 GAME DEV DIARIES

Season 2 Episode 4
Date: 13th January, 2021
TITLE: Into the roots

I just got Pivot Animator a day ago. It was fun seeing the program once more. i still remember my first animation I did where I two guys where in some flying kick motion then simultaneously hit each other and fall to the ground. It's the only animation I can remember.

So I played with it and made me realize that I can start from there. There were a bunch of things I wanted to add in Mighty Maze that I decided to cut off simply because I wanted to learn so much. So instead I going into my deeper roots of my self-taught knowledge.

Good times indeed

It's a habit to want to always improve and get stronger, get better, go higher and so on. I think it's also good to look back at what you learnt and see how you can maximize it. Today was the second time I realized this and I have worked my butt of today making it possible to work on my game's UI (User Interface) system.

I fixed my mistakes and why I couldn't get it right and it's better than where it was at first. Of course this took me all day. Well at least it took my mind off from my dying phone and getting whatever could distract me. I'm quite happy it's done. Well almost. Just needs to look visually appealing to someone's eye and there we go.

Just one task after another

Of course I wanted to do so much more. And I mean so much more. But instead I said let the little knowledge I have build this game.

Sometimes going ahead does workout. Other times it won't. In my case it costed me months of wasted work. But hopefully next time it won't. Well at least I learnt that if your trying to improve do it on some practice and not serious work.

Unless you know the arts of save and undo.

Oh yeah! I finally have a site running too. It's so awesome to finally have a site on the internet. WordPress sorry if I couldn't start my first website with you. But I need a lot of time to learn all about you.

With college and game development which are taking my attention span. It may take a little while longer before I get to use you like a pro. I did not say I gave up on first try. I spent four months getting to know it and though it's wasn't a fruitless venture at all, I couldn't fully understand what was going on. But I won't blame WordPress here.

 My fault on this one

Well so far the game is going on well. And everything is moving fine, except for my dying phone, it's time I get a new one soon. And a better one.
