About Me

Hello so glad to see you. Welcome to my Indie Game studio.

So Glad to have a site running after months of saying that I will. Maybe you have some Idea of what that's like am I right?

Okay Let's get into intros. My name is Niza Songolo and I don't know if I should say I'm a game developer. I don't know the criteria for it. You know what, I made three prototype games already so I don't know why I'm doubting. So my name is Niza Songolo and I'm a Game Developer. I run this studio on my own. Well it's just a laptop right now, but when I get to work I usually call it a studio. Don't know why that started

and don't care. But I feel concerned when I see the awesome studios of other Devs on YouTube. However I am writing the list of things I want in my studio and one of them is a swimming pool, indoors. VandaGreen Studios, the third name I've given to my company which has been a dream for 9 years. That's right. 9 years

ago I found this passion to become a Game Developer but never really had a chance to do so for so many reasons. I think I'll write two posts on this later on. I bitter-sweet way, I can say that this dream started becoming real on the 15th of March, 2020. Bitter because I would have started in 2019 instead. But I was going through tough times and I lost self confidence and self esteem as well. And Sweet because I fought through all that and said "What I'm I waiting for?". It's an experience I'd love to share the full details about in time.

When I was 11 years old when I figured out that "games are made", I found it a place where I could throw all my crazy ambitions such as architecture, story writing, drawing and so on, into a place where I could all that could be combined. together to create something as fun and as engaging. This ultimately became a full time passion that I cultivated in an environment that can most times be a real thorn in flesh for my passion. Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

After 9 years and am now 20 years old now. Here I am, I never had local support... oops I forgot to say that I live in Zambia did I? Sorry about that. So yeah I had no local support and or mentorship except for the TV I watched and the games I played to try and understand what is going on. Then March 2020 comes in and months later straight into 2021 and here I am with my very first official website. Amazing right? It gets better.

So on this site I'll be posting on 3 Topics as listed below:

Game Dev Diaries. This blog series is just there to show what goes on in my mind. I've never written a diary before or a journal. I write once a week on anything worth typing for this series. Which is related to my game development journey. I think too much so  why not tell people what's on my mind?

This was the first Blog I started on the the Facebook page. It gave me a push to come here. I also put them here for artistic purposes. So you'll see the first season all funny like. My fault. but still so much fun to read.

Blog. Apart from the series, I still have much to share. I'm a college student and I'm not enjoying my course because I

want to make games. I can share what that's like. Or how I will talk about my first year as a Game Developer later on in March. I have so much to write don't I now?

Games. Been quiet about this. But I will make mention that I will start my game posts soon on this site.

There's my summarized intro about me and my studio. Thanks for reading up to the end. I can't wait to get this to the

future with you along side.

    you are doing great

It's not easy succeeding at what you are doing, especially in Zambia, that's why it is even more inspiring to see someone such as your self pursuing something like this.....

    THUMBS UP!!!
